Hoërskool Richardsbaai welcomes back Gr 12 learners

Dear Baaitjie parents

The first two weeks of school during the ‘Lockdown’ period are over and it is with great gratitude that we can report to you that the staff and grade 12
learners are still safe and healthy. After the initial adjustment to our ‘new normal’ classes, all problems were solved and our schedule is running smoothly.

Compiled by HSRB Covid-19 committee

Covid-19 Safety

Our ground staff clean the bathrooms and classrooms throughout the school day in order to create a safe school environment for us all. The school is cleaned every weekend with the help of our ground staff and AfriForum. The school incurred additional expenses which was not budgeted for in order to create a safe school environment. Unfortunately, this has placed the school under financial pressure. We are going to need many more sanitation items with the return of our Grade 10 and 11 learners. If you are able to contribute by donating hand sanitizers and hand wipes to the school it will help
a great deal.

On 29 June2020 HSRB staff had another Covid-19 briefing on how the return of our Grade 10 and 11 learners will be managed. Hoërskool Richardsbaai is still 100% Covid-19 free and we will continue to do our best to keep it so.

Under no circumstances should parents send their children to school if they are sick. Please take them to the doctor and inform the school of the
learner’s medical results. Any learner that shows symptoms of any kind will be sent home immediately. Please do not sign out your children unnecessarily as the academic program is very full and it places more strain on the learners when school is missed without good reason.

If you want to visit the school, please make an appointment 24 hours in advance with reception. (reception@hsrb.org.za / 035-789-3201).
Unfortunately, you will not be allowed on the school grounds if you do not have an appointment.
